New tunes are added to the iOS 26 beta, and they're catchy enough to get stuck in your head.

Apple has rolled out a fresh batch of ringtones for iPhones as part of the iOS 26 beta. The new collection, available to those with the beta installed, includes a total of seven new tones, most of which are variations on the existing "Reflection" ringtone, along with one completely new addition called "Little Bird."

These new ringtones can be found in the Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringtone section on iPhones running iOS 26 beta. Here's a breakdown of each new tone:

  • Default: An updated version of "Reflection," the original iPhone ringtone, has received a mellow upgrade.
  • Buoyant: This ringtone is heavy on steel drums, offering a lively and upbeat sound.
  • Dreamer: Described as a catchy and "such a bop," Dreamer is a fan favorite that brings a fresh and contemporary feel.
  • Pond: Woodwind instruments take center stage in this calming and serene ringtone.
  • Pop: If you're a fan of sci-fi detective show scores, you'll love this synthwave-inspired ringtone.
  • Reflected: Hand bells create a unique and melodic sound in this variation of the original "Reflection" ringtone.
  • Surge: A bass-laden club remix, Surge is sure to grab attention with its energetic beat.
  • Little Bird: The standout new ringtone, Little Bird, incorporates a catchy whistle and a bird-like, melodic sound, potentially signaling a new sonic identity for the iPhone, accompanying anticipated design changes in the iPhone 17 Pro models[1][2][3].

Users have reacted positively to these new ringtones, especially "Dreamer" and "Little Bird" for their catchy and fresh sounds. However, it's important to note that these ringtones may change before the final iOS 26 release, scheduled for fall 2025[3].

In addition to these new ringtones, Apple is also offering a variety of "Reflection" remixes as new ringtone options. Furthermore, users can sign up for a weekly Light Speed newsletter for more out-of-this-world tech, space, and science stories.
