Newly unveiled Google Pixel 10 series set for release next week, with pricing and specifications for the Indian market revealed
The tech world is abuzz with excitement as Google prepares to launch its latest innovation, the Pixel 10 series, on August 20, 2025. The event will be live-streamed on YouTube at 10:30 PM, promising a closer look at the anticipated devices.
The Pixel 10 series is set to offer significant upgrades across various aspects, including processing power, camera systems, battery life, and long-term software support.
Starting with the processing power, the Pixel 10 series will be powered by the new Google Tensor G5 chipset. The top-tier models, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL, are rumoured to feature the Tensor G5 chip, while the standard Pixel 10 might be equipped with the same chipset.
In terms of storage, the Pixel 10 series is expected to offer a minimum of 256GB, though the exact specifications for the standard Pixel 10 have not been confirmed. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL, on the other hand, are expected to have 256GB of storage as a base.
The Pixel 10 series will boast impressive camera systems with advanced AI zoom and photography coaching. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL will support Pro Res Zoom up to 100x, High-Res mode (up to 50MP), Camera Coach, Auto Best Take, Frequent Faces, and Top Shot features. The Pixel 10 will support Super Res Zoom up to 20x and include Camera Coach, but it will lack the High-Res 50MP mode.
New AI features such as Gemini-assisted photography, with Camera Coach teaching framing and composition, and Pro Res Zoom providing advanced zoom using generative AI models on Tensor G5, are also expected to be part of the Pixel 10 series.
The Pixel 10 series will feature a refreshed design using recycled materials. The standard Pixel 10 will be available in Obsidian, Indigo, Frost, and Lemongrass, while the Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL will be available in Obsidian, Moonstone, and Jade. The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be available only in Moonstone.
The Pixel 10 series will offer improved batteries, with the standard Pixel 10 expected to have a 4,970mAh battery, the Pixel 10 Pro a 5,200mAh battery, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL said to ship with a 5,200mAh battery. The charging specifications include 30W wired and 15W wireless (Qi2) charging for the standard Pixel 10, and 45W wired and 25W Pixelsnap wireless (Qi2 certified) charging for the Pixel 10 Pro.
The Pixel 10 series will offer long-term software support, with Android 16 out of the box and 7 years of OS and security updates. The devices will also feature the Titan M2 security coprocessor.
The India pricing for the Pixel 10 series will be revealed on August 21. The estimated pricing for the Pixel 10 Pro in India is around Rs 1,10,000, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL could be priced at around Rs 1,25,000. The prices mentioned are expected, not confirmed.
The Pixel 10 is expected to have a 6.3-inch OLED display, while the Pixel 10 Pro XL is said to have a 6.8-inch OLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pixel 10 Pro may have a higher display resolution than the Pixel 10. The Pixel 10 Pro may also have a bigger battery than the Pixel 10.
The Pixel 10 series is shaping up to be a formidable contender in the tech market, with its significant upgrades in processing power, camera systems, battery life, and long-term software support. With retail pricing ranging from $799 to $1,799 for the foldable model, the Pixel 10 series is poised to offer a premium experience to tech enthusiasts worldwide.
