No membership charges on our site for the years 2024 and 2025
The European Beekeeping Association (EBA) has announced its plans for the years 2024 and 2025, with a focus on proving its hard work and commitment towards bees, beekeepers, and consumers.
In a move aimed at strengthening its reach, the EBA has extended invitations to all national beekeeping associations and beekeeping associations across Europe to join its work. The members of the Executive Board and the Secretary General are responsible for extending these invitations.
Travel expenses for Mr. Boštjan Noč, President of the EBA, will be covered by the organiser of any meetings he attends. Notably, Mr. Noč has pledged to work without compensation for the next two years.
In a significant decision, the EBA has announced that it will not charge membership fees for 2024 and 2025. This waiver applies to all those who have already joined the EBA by June 17, 2024, as well as national beekeeping associations and other beekeeping associations that join the EBA by October 1, 2024.
However, national beekeeping associations joining after October 1, 2024, will be obliged to pay the mandatory membership fee in accordance with Article 14.1 of the EBA Statute.
The EBA aims to become the union of all European beekeepers and has set ambitious goals for the next two years. If these goals are realised, the EBA plans to introduce a membership fee and new successes in beekeeping development.
Meetings of the Executive Board will be held exclusively via online services or Viber and WhatsApp groups in 2024 and 2025.
Withdrawal from the EBA is free of charge, and the Executive Board has made historic decisions regarding the beekeeping association, effective from October 1, 2024.
For more detailed information, interested parties are encouraged to consult the official EBA website or contact the organisation directly. Membership terms often depend on criteria such as geographic location, status (e.g., hobbyist vs. professional), or participation in certain programmes.
By 2026, the EBA expects to produce results that will be presented in the best light. In the absence of a national beekeeping association in a country, the two largest beekeeping associations with the most beekeepers will have the status of exempted national beekeeping association from paying the mandatory dues, if they join the EBA as of October 1, 2024.

In light of the EBA's financial decision, no membership fees will be charged for business partnerships within the association during the years 2024 and 2025. Despite this, new beekeeping associations joining after October 1, 2024, will be required to adhere to the mandatory membership fee in accordance with technology-driven communication measures, as meetings of the Executive Board will be held exclusively via online services.
