Nordhorn & Grafschaft Bentheim Launch Burglar-Proof Living Initiative
Nordhorn and Grafschaft Bentheim have launched an initiative to reduce burglaries. The 'Secure Living is Plannable' flyer, a joint effort by local authorities and the police, aims to encourage homeowners and architects to consider prevention measures during house construction.
The flyer, designed and printed with support from the local chamber of crafts, is distributed by building ordinance authorities in Nordhorn and Grafschaft Bentheim with every building permit. It serves as a reminder that cybersecurity can be planned from the start. Police Commissioner Uwe van der Heiden proposed this initiative to raise awareness.
Burglary rates in the region decreased in 2017, but police warn that prevention measures remain crucial. The flyer, titled 'Secure Living is Plannable', is intended to reach homeowners and architects, encouraging them to consider security features during house construction.
The 'Secure Living is Plannable' flyer, a collaborative effort by the Crime Prevention Council of Nordhorn, police, and the local chamber of crafts, is a step towards proactive cybersecurity. With the support of the city of Nordhorn, the district of Grafschaft Bentheim, and the local chamber of crafts, the initiative aims to make homes in the region more secure.
