NSI Acquires Grünbeck, Unites Water Treatment Giants

Nijhuis Saur Industries (NSI) has acquired Grünbeck Waterbehandeling, a Dutch water treatment company. The acquisition, completed in 2021, brings together two leading players in the water treatment industry. Founded in 2009, Grünbeck specializes in process water treatment solutions, serving multiple sectors. Its offerings include industrial process water applications, residential water solutions, and innovative hydrogen solutions. Following the acquisition, the company will operate under the new name NSI Clean Water Solutions BV. Menno M. Holterman, CEO of NSI, welcomed the Grünbeck team, expressing his delight at the opportunity to deliver greater value to customers. Nick Liebrand, former CEO of Grünbeck, shared his excitement about the partnership, seeing NSI as the ideal partner for future expansion. The acquisition is part of Saur Group's MissionWater 2030 ambition to grow in the industrial water sector and broaden its clean water technology portfolio. With over 100 ultra-pure water pilot installations developed for the hydrogen sector worldwide, NSI aims to strengthen its hydrogen and ultra-pure water expertise as a global differentiator through this acquisition.
