Oboz Introduces the Katabatic LT Collection with GORE-TEX Invisible Fit Technology
Oboz is set to revolutionise waterproof hiking footwear with the launch of the Katabatic LT collection for Spring 2025. This collection, part of the "truetothetrail" series, marks Oboz's first-ever use of GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology.
The innovative GORE-TEX Invisible Fit technology provides a seamless, breathable waterproof membrane that integrates directly into the shoe upper, enhancing breathability, fit, and comfort compared to traditional layered waterproof designs.
Key improvements over traditional waterproof designs include a seamless construction, enhanced breathability, lightweight and responsive performance, and true fit and comfort. The seamless construction reduces bulk and increases flexibility, making the shoe fit more like a regular sneaker. Better airflow and moisture vapor transmission prevent feet from overheating and becoming clammy during active use, while the lighter weight and improved responsiveness enable faster movement without sacrificing waterproof protection.
The design embraces anatomical nuance with a form-fitting heel cup, sculpted mid-foot, and a generous toe box, resulting in a glove-like fit. The welded TPU around the toe cap and heel counter has been reduced, retaining superior foot protection and stability.
The uppers of all models in the Katabatic LT collection are made with abrasion-resistant and breathable 100% recycled polyester. The insole features Ortholite ECO, made with 12% plant-derived bio-oil and 5% recycled rubber.
The Katabatic LT collection is available on obozfootwear.co.uk. The RRP for the low Katabatic LT model is £150, while the mid Katabatic LT model is priced at £170. The collection is associated with the "#obozfootwear" hashtag.
