OPSWAT Unveils MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch for Secure, Isolated Scanning
OPSWAT has introduced MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch, a portable cybersecurity device designed for secure scanning in isolated environments. The device, announced today, combines advanced technologies in a handheld form factor for easy use in high-security facilities.
The MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch offers boot-level analysis for deep inspection of cyber assets. It features a simple touch interface, making it user-friendly even in high-security settings. The device is integrated with My OPSWAT Central Management, enabling remote monitoring and updates.
According to OPSWAT's Vice President Itay Glick, the device combines advanced multiscanning and data sanitization technologies. It uses up to seven anti-malware engines, file-based vulnerability assessment, proactive data loss prevention, and country-of-origin detection. The device also includes physical connectivity controls to prevent network-based compromise.
OPSWAT has recently partnered with SentinelOne to enhance security. In July, the two companies announced a collaboration that integrates SentinelOne's AI detections into Metascan Multiscanning technology. This partnership allows both enterprises to combat modern cyber threats with improved precision and speed.
The MetaDefender Drive with Smart Touch is now available through OPSWAT and its authorized partners worldwide, offering U.S.-made and global models. The device is designed to help security teams defend against cyberattacks and prevent downtime in critical infrastructure.
