Oregon Trail game sequel, FrontierVille, reveals new trailer; internet descends into excitement
Zynga, the popular game developer, has announced its first expansion for FrontierVille titled The Oregon Trail. The much-anticipated expansion is set to be released on July 31, 2012.
The Oregon Trail expansion will take players on a journey reminiscent of the original The Oregon Trail game, featuring Conestoga Wagons for the journey to Oregon. The most exciting feature of the expansion, as per the video released by Zynga, is the social mission.
In the social mission, players can team up in real time to tackle various obstacles. One such obstacle is the 100 Bucket Brigade, where players will work together to put out a fire. The expansion will also feature a weekly competition, where players race to Fort Courage in Oregon.
However, the expansion does not provide any new characters or creatures in the game. Neither does it reveal details about rewards or prizes for the weekly competition. It seems that the expansion focuses mainly on the social aspect and the journey to Oregon, with no new gameplay mechanics apart from the social mission.
Players are encouraged to share their thoughts and excitement about the Oregon Trail expansion in the comments. The expansion appears to share similarities with Blue Fang's recent rerelease of the original The Oregon Trail.
With the release of The Oregon Trail expansion, FrontierVille players have a new adventure to look forward to, one that promises teamwork, competition, and the thrill of the journey to Oregon. Stay tuned for more updates!
