Paul Smith & Barbour Team Up for 23-Piece Collection
British fashion designer Paul Smith has collaborated with heritage brand Barbour to unveil a 23-piece collection. The range, titled 'Paul Smith Loves Barbour', features unique interpretations of Barbour's signature pieces, including jackets, knitwear, and accessories.
The collection showcases unusual shades of waxed cotton, patchwork constructions, and a recurring Friesian cow motif. It also includes chunky knitwear, rain boots, and waxed cotton bucket hats. Barbour's enamel pin badges have been given a 'Paul Smith twist' for the collection.
Key pieces include reworked versions of Barbour's iconic Bedale jacket, Border coat, and Transport jacket. The collection also features traditional Barbour jackets, ties, T-shirts, and accessories inspired by agricultural shows. Ian Bergin, director of menswear, footwear and accessories at Barbour, praised the collection's wit and authenticity.
The 'Paul Smith Loves Barbour' collection is a celebration of two British brands coming together. It offers a fresh take on Barbour's classic pieces, blending Paul Smith's distinctive style with Barbour's heritage. The collection is now available for purchase.
