Pixel 10 Design Previewed by Google Before Official Release

In an unexpected move, tech giant Google has chosen to embrace leaks this year, rather than attempting to suppress them, as the anticipated Pixel 10 series approaches its launch. A teaser video released on the Google Store homepage has provided the first official glimpse of the Pixel 10, offering tantalising hints about the device's features.

The Pixel 10 Pro, scheduled to launch in weeks, is rumoured to sport Google's next-generation Tensor G5 chip, which could be built on a 3nm or 4nm process. This upgrade is expected to deliver improved AI capabilities and efficiency, surpassing the Tensor G4 found in the Pixel 9.

The Pixel 10 Pro is also rumoured to come with a substantial 16GB of RAM, aligning with expectations for a premium flagship device. However, it's worth noting that explicit confirmation on the Pixel 10 Pro's RAM size is less widespread.

Another notable feature is the rumoured 4,870mAh battery, a modest increase over the Pixel 9 Pro's 4,700mAh unit. This slightly larger battery may be due to the inclusion of a bigger vapor chamber for heat dissipation.

The Pixel 10 Pro is also expected to feature a triple camera setup, with the regular Pixel 10 potentially getting an 11MP telephoto lens, a first for the non-Pro model.

The teaser video, quietly released, shows a greyish-blue phone with three cameras, a flash, and a potential temperature sensor. The design of the Pixel 10 depicted in the video matches leaked designs of the Pixel 10 Pro. The Moonstone colour shown in the video is one of the colours that had previously been leaked for the Pixel 10.

However, the name Pixel 10 is not explicitly mentioned in the teaser video. The Pixel 10 Pro is also rumoured to offer up to 512GB of storage.

Leaked colours for the Pixel 10 Pro include Jade, Obsidian, and Porcelain, while bolder shades like Indigo and Limoncello are leaked for the regular Pixel 10.

While these details are based on credible rumours and pre-release information, it's important to note that official confirmation will only be available once Google announces the devices on August 20, 2025. Until then, the information about the Pixel 10's specs remains unconfirmed by Google.

The Pixel 10 Pro, equipped with Google's forthcoming Tensor G5 chip, is projected to offer enhanced AI capabilities and efficiency, outperforming the Tensor G4 found in the Pixel 9. The Pixel 10 Pro is rumored to boast a 16GB RAM, aligning with expectations for a premium flagship device, although explicit confirmation is less widespread.
