Quantum-resistant TLS stack assessment tool provided for free by ImmuniWeb
Headline: ImmuniWeb Launches Free Online Tool for Post-Quantum Cryptography Compliance Check
In the rapidly evolving cybersecurity landscape, a new tool has been introduced by ImmuniWeb to help organizations assess their preparedness against quantum-era threats. Dr. Ilia Kolochenko, Chief Architect & CEO at ImmuniWeb, announced the release of this free online SSL/TLS testing tool that can now verify Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) preparedness.
The tool analyses SSL/TLS configurations and verifies compliance with NIST's quantum-resilient encryption standards. It is designed to help organizations guard against unauthorized scraping by AI companies and data-harvesting bots, as well as protect against the emerging threat of "Harvest Now, Decrypt Later" attacks.
These attacks represent a novel threat where cybercriminals collect encrypted data and wait for quantum computing to break the encryption. Dr. Kolochenko warned about this danger, stating that many large organizations underestimate the risks of quantum attacks.
The tool is accessible via a web interface and API, making it easy for organizations to integrate it into their CI/CD pipelines for automated scanning. According to ImmuniWeb's statistics, millions of servers still rely on the deprecated SSLv3 protocol, highlighting the need for such a tool.
ImmuniWeb's SSL Security Test has performed over 173 million scans, with more than 56,000 tests conducted in the last 24 hours. The tool also checks for adherence to PCI DSS, HIPAA, and other NIST cryptographic requirements.
The adoption of quantum-resilient encryption is comparatively better in some European countries, according to recent data. However, governments and agencies, including the European Commission, the UK National Cyber Security Center, and the US Department of Homeland Security, have issued frameworks urging immediate planning for PQC migration.
Forrester shares similar concerns over PQC unreadiness and risks, estimating that current encryption will become vulnerable in 10 years from now. Gartner named PQC a top strategic technology trend for 2025, urging organizations to start transitioning to PQC without delay.
In Q2 2025, only 10.63% of tested systems were compliant with NIST standards for post-quantum security. According to Cloudflare, 38% of TLS traffic currently supports some forms of quantum-resistant encryption, with variations by region.
ImmuniWeb recently added a feature to check websites for protection against AI bots, including detection of anti-bot systems, firewalls, and "robots.txt" configuration. This expansion of the tool's capabilities further strengthens its role in helping organizations secure their digital assets in the face of evolving threats.
