The Zio Recording System caters to diverse needs with recorders providing different storage capacities. It supports single or multi-channel encoders, available in standard or ruggedized enclosures, and complies with BAA and TAA standards.

First introduced in 2016, the system supports third-party playback applications like VLC and playback on its own decoders and multiviewers. It can simultaneously record and playback up to 30 IP streams using a FIFO architecture for efficient recording.

The system is available in 1RU and 2RU configurations, depending on extra space storage requirements. It supports signals up to 3840x2160, 60Hz, from cameras, computers, and other sources. Users can choose between H.264 or H.265 video compression for optimal video quality or bandwidth efficiency.
