Roku and Aurzen Present First Projector Equipped with Integrated Roku Technology

The Aurzen Roku TV Smart Projector D1R Cube, a compact and affordable streaming solution, has been premiered and is now available for under $200. This rectangular cuboid device, similar in shape to the TCL A1, boasts a big lens and a narrow case.

With a 3.5mm headphone output and Bluetooth headphone mode, the D1R Cube offers versatile audio options for users. It can stream wirelessly, but also allows for HDMI connection, making it compatible with gaming consoles.

The D1R Cube is the first projector to use Roku OS as its built-in streaming interface, seamlessly integrating it into the Roku ecosystem for on-screen notifications and monitoring. It also features dual 5-watt speakers for clear and immersive audio.

However, the placement of the D1R Cube may be challenging due to its lack of adjustable features like zoom or lens shift. The images supplied with the device somewhat imply an upwards throw, but its actual throw distance and placement requirements are uncertain.

The D1R Cube has a claimed 330 lumens and 1080p resolution, which may be sufficient for a larger-than-TV image but not for a very bright one. Given its size and price range, it's not surprising that the D1R Cube, like other projectors in this category, does not have a zoom or lens shift.

A review sample of the D1R Cube will be needed to confirm its actual performance and capabilities. For now, the price of the D1R Cube is almost certainly $199, making it an attractive option for those seeking an affordable and smart projector solution.
