The T-90M 'Breakthrough' tank, a mainstay of Russia's armored forces, has undergone significant modernization, with a primary focus on enhancing its protection and evasion capabilities. During the modernization process, the tank's protection was bolstered with the addition of dynamic protection blocks and screens to safeguard against kamikaze drones. These improvements were assessed by Colonel Andrey Kislitsyn, commander of a tank unit, who confirmed the enhanced protective measures during the modernization phase.

One of the standout features of the updated T-90M is its protective camouflage system. Upon activation, the system fires smoke grenades, providing a smokescreen that helps the tank evade enemy fire. This system has been tested and proven effective in combat conditions, as reported by specialists from Russia's UralVagonZavod (UVZ).

The camouflage system is designed to activate when the tank is targeted by laser rangefinders of guided weapons. This feature allows the tank to effectively hide from enemy fire, increasing its chances of survival in combat situations.

Lieutenant Artem Vaganov, a commander of a tank platoon in the 'Center' grouping, reported on the modernization of the T-90M 'Breakthrough' tank. He stated that the tank is now equipped with a protective camouflage system, a feature that has been instrumental in its success on the battlefield.

The effectiveness of the camouflage system has been evident in the special military operation zone, where the T-90M 'Breakthrough' tank has been able to escape enemy fire when the system is activated. This has not only saved lives but also contributed to the overall success of the mission.

The modernization of the T-90M 'Breakthrough' tank was completed earlier in September, and the tank is now ready to serve on the front lines, equipped with its new protective camouflage system. The specialists at UVZ have reported that they are confident in the system's ability to help the tank evade guided weapons and ensure the safety of its crew.
