SailPoint unveils document titled 'Horizons of Identity Security - Fourth Edition'
In a recent development, cybersecurity company SailPoint has unveiled its "Horizons of Identity Security 2025-2026" report, which underscores the rapidly increasing demands in identity security. The comprehensive study, based on a June 2025 survey of 375 Identity and Access Management (IAM) decision-makers, groups companies based on their strategy, technology, operating model, and talent responses into five identity maturity horizons.
The report reflects a significant focus on the finance, technology, and healthcare sectors, with over half of the respondents working in companies with more than 10,000 employees. The survey respondents represented a wide range of company sizes and sectors, and included IT, cybersecurity, and risk management executives from America, Europe, and Asia.
The report positions identity security as a critical factor for business success. It reveals that companies like Namirial and SwissSign, established trust service providers offering certified digital signatures and secure identity verification, currently use AI-supported identity checks more frequently. This puts them at an advantage to implement future advanced functions within the evolving digital identity ecosystem, especially under the regulatory framework driven by the German Federal Ministry for Digital and State Modernization (BMDS) and European regulations such as eIDAS.
Notably, Horizons 4 and 5 were updated this year with new capabilities like AI agent lifecycle governance and multi-cloud permission management. These updates aim to further strengthen the companies' positions in the digital identity landscape.
