Samsung Galaxy Ring Battery Issue Sends Tech Influencer to Hospital
Tech influencer Daniel from ZONEofTECH has reported a worrying incident involving his Samsung Galaxy Ring. The ring, which Daniel obtained in January, allegedly swelled due to a battery issue, causing his finger to swell and leading to a trip to the hospital. Samsung is now investigating the matter.
The incident occurred while Daniel was boarding a plane. He noticed battery life issues with the ring prior to the swelling. The lithium-ion battery in the ring allegedly swelled, causing the ring to get stuck on his finger. Daniel was denied entry to the plane and had to visit the emergency department of a London hospital, where the ring was removed without surgery.
This is not the first report of the Galaxy Ring swelling, although previous incidents may not have resulted in hospital visits. Samsung UK has contacted Daniel directly and provided methods to attempt removing a stuck ring, prioritizing customer safety. The company is currently investigating the incident and is in direct contact with Daniel to learn more about his experience.
