Saudi's Sawt Gathers $1 Million in Pre-Seed Funding for Automating Call Centers Using Arabic AI Agents

In a significant stride for the Middle Eastern tech industry, Riyadh-based AI startup Sawt has secured a $1 million pre-seed funding round, led by T2 and STV, and backed by Google. This marks the first investment for STV's AI fund.

Founded earlier this year by Abdulmalik Al-Saeed, the former Editor-in-Chief of Thmanyah, Sawt has developed an end-to-end voice call platform designed to revolutionise customer service for businesses. The platform, entirely developed in Saudi Arabia, focuses on serving the Arabic-speaking market and is poised to lead the growing GCC call center automation sector, valued between $800 million and $1.2 billion.

Sawt's AI platform operates 24/7, aiming to address common customer service pain points. By providing AI voice agents, businesses can handle customer support, bookings, and sales, reducing wait times, operational costs, and enhancing the customer experience. Within two months of its launch, Sawt has served dozens of businesses and powered hundreds of thousands of voice interactions.

The company's primary goal is to automate customer service functions, contributing to Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 AI-driven transformation. Sawt plans to accelerate the development of its proprietary Arabic voice AI models, enhance platform reliability to manage millions of voice interactions, and prioritise privacy and data security to meet enterprise standards.

"We are proud to contribute to Saudi Arabia's AI-driven transformation," said Abdulmalik Al-Saeed, co-founder and CEO of Sawt. The funding will be used to expand the team, scale technical infrastructure, and refine Arabic-native voice AI models to handle millions of customer interactions efficiently.

With this investment, Sawt is set to lead the way in the Arabic-speaking market, revolutionising customer service and paving the path for a more efficient and cost-effective future.

Sawt's AI-driven platform, designed for customer service revolution in businesses, is poised to leverage artificial-intelligence technology to manage millions of voice interactions, potentially leading the GCC call center automation sector. This strategic investment of $1 million, led by T2 and STV, and backed by Google, will aid Sawt in refining its Arabic-native voice AI models and scaling technical infrastructure, further reinforcing its reputation as a pioneer in artificial-intelligence applications within the Middle East.
