ŠKODA Unveils Epiq City SUV, Joining VW, CUPRA in 'Electric Urban Car Family'
ŠKODA has unveiled the Epiq, a city SUV designed for everyday use and families. This announcement comes alongside the reveal of the 'Electric Urban Car Family', a range of four electric compact cars set to launch in 2026 from Volkswagen, CUPRA, and ŠKODA. The 'Electric Urban Car Family' consists of the Volkswagen ID. Polo and ID. Cross Concept, the CUPRA Raval, and the ŠKODA Epiq. These models bring premium technologies from higher segments into the entry-level class. Volkswagen offers the ID. Polo hatchback, ID. CROSS Concept SUV, and ID. Polo GTI, the first fully electric GTI model. The family starts at around €25,000. All models share the advanced MEB+ electric kit and use a new unified cell battery, offering ranges up to 450 kilometers. CUPRA introduces the Raval, a sporty and unconventional hatchback. Vehicles come with standard DC fast charging and access to over 100 apps via the app store. The group aims for a 20% market share in the rapidly growing electric compact car segment in Europe with this family. Models feature the new generation of Travel Assist with lane change assist and traffic light recognition, LED matrix headlights, optional massage seats, and app-based pre-climatization. The 'Electric Urban Car Family' offers a range of electric compact cars with advanced features and a competitive price point. With a shared electric kit and unified battery, these models aim to capture a significant market share in Europe's growing electric compact car segment.
