Solingen's Kronprinzenstraße Gets Modern LED Lighting Next Week

Starting next Monday, the Technical Operations of Solingen (TBS) will commence construction work on Kronprinzenstraße. The project involves replacing old lighting with modern LED technology, aiming to reduce electricity consumption and carbon emissions.

The initial phase of the project will focus on the landscaped median, with subsequent work extending to the sidewalks on both sides of the street. A total of eight new lighting poles will be installed, equipped with energy-efficient LED lights. The work is expected to take around four weeks, with one lane of traffic temporarily closed to ensure sufficient workspace.

The old high mast on Kronprinzenstraße will be dismantled later in the fall. The new LED lights not only reduce electricity costs and carbon emissions but also lower maintenance requirements.

The Kronprinzenstraße lighting upgrade project, led by the Technical Operations of Solingen (TBS), is set to improve energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Motorists should expect temporary traffic restrictions during the four-week construction period.
