Suzuki's First Electric SUV, e Vitara, Coming to India by FY 2026
Suzuki is set to launch its first electric SUV, the e Vitara, in India by the end of FY 2026. The base model is expected to start at around Rs 20 lakh, with higher variants priced up to approximately Rs 30 lakh. The e Vitara will compete with the likes of the Hyundai Creta EV and MG ZS EV in the Indian market.
The e Vitara, an 'Emotional Versatile Cruiser', combines futuristic BEV styling with the rugged stance of an SUV. It is built on Suzuki's newly developed HEARTECT-e platform, promising a responsive driving experience. The SUV will feature Suzuki's new ALLGRIP-e electric 4WD system, ensuring confident handling both on and off-road.
The e Vitara will be packed with advanced driver assistance systems and a modern infotainment suite. It will also boast enhanced structural safety, ensuring a secure and enjoyable ride. The e Vitara has already gained attention after showcasing at the Milan and Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 and is set to launch in Japan in January 2026. Its Indian launch is expected to follow soon after.
