Tamron's 70-180mm F2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 Now Available in Nikon Z Mount
Tamron has announced the availability of its 70-180mm F2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 telephoto zoom lens in Nikon Z mount. This highly anticipated lens offers impressive features and will be priced at $1099/£999, with availability starting from October 23rd.
The lens boasts a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.6 (wide) to 1:4.7 (tele), along with a filter size of 67mm. It features 20 lens elements in 15 groups, including Tamron's VXD technology for swift autofocus, and image stabilisation for sharp images. The lens is constructed with 9 circular diaphragm aperture blades, ensuring smooth bokeh effects.
Tamron's 70-180mm F2.8 Di III VC VXD G2 is the world's smallest and lightest F2.8 tele-zoom lens, weighing just 865g and measuring 158.7mm in length. It is now available in Nikon Z mount, following its release in Sony E-Mount, which started in German stores like Foto Hamer and Foto Koch, with Foto Koch specifically mentioning availability in their Düsseldorf shop. Pre-orders for the Nikon Z-Mount version are expected to start from October 2025.
