Terra & Gradient AI Revolutionize Workers' Comp Claims Management
Terra, a leading workers' compensation technology provider, has joined forces with Gradient AI to revolutionise the industry's approach to claims management. The partnership, announced in September 2023 with Sedgwick, aims to eliminate inefficiencies and empower faster, smarter decision-making.
The integrated solution combines Terra's cloud-native platform with Gradient AI's advanced risk modelling capabilities. This enables faster case triage, allowing adjusters to focus on high-risk cases. The collaboration addresses transformation challenges in the workers' compensation industry, such as outdated systems and complex workflows.
Terra CEO James Benham expressed that the partnership empowers adjusters to quickly identify critical claims and act decisively. Gradient AI CEO Stan Smith echoed this, stating that the collaboration helps teams pinpoint high-risk claims earlier and prioritise them. The integrated solution also enables adjusters to have earlier visibility into high-risk cases, thanks to OCR-driven form processing and AI-powered claim note summarisation.
Terra's 2025 vision is to eliminate inefficiencies and reduce complexity in the workers' compensation industry. The partnership with Gradient AI is a significant step towards achieving this goal. By integrating Gradient AI's risk models with Terra's automation tools, the collaboration aims to improve claims lifecycle outcomes and drive the industry forward.
