Themis Bolsters Fraud Prevention with Pasabi Acquisition
Themis, a certified B-Corp specialising in fraud prevention, has bolstered its capabilities following the acquisition of Edinburgh-based Pasabi. The deal, supported by Quadri Ventures, brings Pasabi's advanced AI technology and fraud prevention expertise into Themis' fold.
Founded in 2017, Pasabi operates teams across the UK and Europe, making it a strong cultural fit for Themis. Pasabi's co-founder and CEO, Chris Downie, expressed excitement about the acquisition, citing a cultural alignment and complementary platforms. Themis' CEO, Dickon Johnstone, echoed this sentiment, stating that the acquisition 'turbocharges' their mission to reduce global impacts of financial crime.
The acquisition brings Pasabi's capabilities in fraud detection, social media monitoring, and transaction monitoring into Themis' Fraud Prevention Platform. The integration has already been completed, reflecting a strong cultural fit and shared mission. Themis has recently launched several innovative products, including a KYC Customer Risk Calculator and Themis AI Investigator, further strengthening its position in the market.
Themis' acquisition of Pasabi, supported by Quadri Ventures, enhances its machine learning and behavioral analytics capabilities. With the integration complete and both teams aligned in their mission, Themis is well-positioned to continue its fight against financial crime.
