Title: LG's Innovative Lamp: A Combo of Projector, Speaker, and a Moody Aesthetic

At the brink of CES 2025's grand opening, LG sprang a surprise with a plethora of innovative gadgets. Among them was a 3-in-1 projector, boasting dual functionality as a mood-setting lamp and a Bluetooth speaker. This projector-on-a-stand design aims to enhance its practicality while idling in your living room, turned off. LG further touted its compactest-ever 4K Ultra Short Throw projector, named the CineBeam S.

The 3-in-1 LG projector, dubbed PF600U, is designed to adapt any room's atmosphere according to your preferences. Switch between utilizing it as a private cinema, cranking up the volume for buzzing party nights, or simply illuminating your room with its distinctive lamp appearance.

LG appears to have tackled the standard-throw projector issue by ingeniously situating the device amidst the living room without causing a nuisance or blending into the background. During a CES Unveiled preview, the lamp light appeared radiant, well-suited for ambient evenings.

Inspired by a floor lamp, the 3-in-1 projector-lamp design prioritizes intuitiveness and seamless integration into various environments. The stand-pole configuration ensures effortless adaptation to any space.

Equipped with Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution, 300 ANSI lumens of brightness, and an LED light source, the PF600U delivers decent picture quality. It runs on LG webOS, supports HDR, HLG, and features a stereo speaker setup alongside passive radiators to deliver rich, immersive audio.

Revamping the original text, we have a fresh take on the LG 3-in-1 device:

The PF600U sports a 1.2 throw ratio, contrast ratio of 150,000:1, and a screen size that stretches from 30 inches to 120 inches. Weighing just 16 pounds (7.5kg), the stylish gadget seems suitable for most living rooms.

Unfortunately, I couldn't test the speaker capability during the demo. However, the 110-degree tilting feature, coupled with automatic screen adjustment, doubles as an adjustable angle lamp. The LED lamp perspires nine colors and five brightness levels.

The press release confirms that both the 3-in-1 projector and the miniature UST projector are ‘new concept models,’ but neither the price nor the availability has been disclosed yet. With rumors of a real-world release for the PF600U, I can't wait to transform my living room into a versatile entertainment space.
