Title: Meta Quest 3: Gaming Paradise for Console and PC Titles

Introducing an exciting twist in the world of virtual reality gaming this month! Nvidia GeForce NOW is expanding its reach, now accessible on Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Pico VR headsets. The announcement took place at CES 2025, revealing these popular devices will be compatible with the service beginning later this month.

The catalyst for this development is the release of Nvidia's GeForce NOW 2.0.70 update, scheduled for January. To access the service, simply input play.geforcenow.com into the Quest's browser instead of using a dedicated app.

The gaming experience will be limited to playing on a large virtual TV/projector screen, mirroring the constraints faced when using Xbox Game Pass on Meta Quest in late 2023.

Andrew Fear, Nvidia's product manager, explains, "The streaming experience on these devices will support gamepad-compatible titles, enabling players to enjoy their favorite PC games on a huge virtual screen."

GeForce NOW: A Superior Streaming Service

GeForce NOW deserves recognition as a leading game streaming platform. Known for its low latency, top-notch image quality, and impressive game performance (with a suitable subscription), it's no wonder it's considered elite in its field.

The service offers a free tier, limiting users to only one-hour sessions and offering virtual PC specs comparable to a lower-mid-range gaming computer. Upgrading to the Performance or Ultimate tiers unlocks more powerful hardware for gaming at higher resolutions with features like Ray Tracing enabled.

GeForce NOW Ultimate costs $19.99 a month, while Performance is priced at $9.99. Each level grants 100 hours of access monthly, with the option to rollover 15 hours if unused. Currently, Ultimate provides a virtual PC with graphics power equivalent to the RTX 4080 card.

A remarkable 2000+ games are supported by GeForce NOW, but subscribers do not gain automatic access to these titles. Buying them from popular retailers such as Steam, Epic, or Gog is required. This approach differs from Xbox Game Pass.

Another exciting development - GeForce NOW is soon to be available on Steam Deck, with plans for an app release due later this year. Sadly, no more specific details about its release date have been made available as of now.

Enrichment Data:

GeForce Now is scheduled to become available for Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Pico VR headsets by the end of January 2025, following the release of Nvidia's GeForce NOW 2.0.70 update. Users will need a subscription to the service, with the free tier offering limited access. The Performance and Ultimate tiers provide higher-quality access, supporting features like ray tracing and NVIDIA DLSS. Note, however, that it does not include support for VR-native titles.

To access GeForce Now on these headsets, visit the dedicated website and link gaming accounts (e.g., Steam, Epic Games) for an optimized experience.

With the release of Nvidia GeForce NOW 2.0.70 update in January, GeForce NOW will be accessible on Meta Quest 3, Quest 3S, and Pico VR headsets, bringing vr gaming to a wider audience. Utilizing this feature, Pico users can enjoy high-performance gaming on their devices, thanks to the superior streaming service provided by GeForce NOW.
