Title: Overlooked Gem: Netflix's Highest-Rated Show with a Perfect Score
Netflix's current lineup boasts a few decent shows, with shows like American Primeval and XO Kitty scoring modest ratings. Squid Game surpassed these, but fell short of season 1's rating. However, a critically acclaimed gem is slipping under the radar – Castlevania Nocturne season 2.
This sequel to the original Castlevania anime, known for breaking the "all video game adaptations are bad" curse, has now achieved a perfect 100% score from critics. The first season garnered a 96%, and despite some fan backlash due to controversy, season 2 boasts a 93% audience score.
Unlike highly-rated shows like Arcane and Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Castlevania Nocturne remains under the radar, debuting below the top 5 and risking falling off the top 10 list by the following day.
The unexplored territory of Castlevania Nocturne is intriguing. While I enjoyed season 1, it didn't capture my heart like the original, despite similarly high scores. Season 1 of the original Castlevania series, surprisingly, registered a 83% from critics. Yet, seasons 2, 3, and 4 all received 100%, 95%, and 100% respectively, respectively.
Though specific critic numbers are fewer for animated series, they relish the show overall. Similarly, fans have generally appreciated the series, except for Nocturne's first season. The show's blend of historical events like the French and Haitian Revolutions with mythological elements appeals to both gamers and non-gamers.

Despite the looming question of a potential season 3, fans clamor for more, indicating the series' potential. Netflix often renews animated projects, including successful ones like Cyberpunk Edgerunners and Arcane, as well as less-popular ones like Tomb Raider that deservedly secured a season 2.
In short, Castlevania Nocturne seems a worthy investment for fans and Netflix alike. Stay tuned for updates on season 3.

Despite its critical acclaim and high audience scores, Castlevania Nocturne hasn't garnered the same level of popularity as some other Netflix shows, making it a hidden gem in the platform's lineup. If you're a fan of anime or enjoy shows that blend historical events with mythological elements, Castlevania Nocturne Nocturne, with its perfect 100% score from critics for the second season, could very well become your new favorite Netflix show, akin to Castlevania Nocturne being known as the best Castlevania game transformed into animation.
