Trend Micro Achieves ENHANCED Security Certification for its Vision One System

Trend Micro, a global leader in cybersecurity solutions, has achieved a significant milestone with the successful completion of the Information Security Manual (ISM) PROTECTED level assessment for its flagship Trend Micro Vision One Platform. This assessment, conducted by an independent third party under the Australian Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP), is the latest in a series of global assessments, including US Government FEDRAMP, SOCI2, and NIST.

The Trend Micro Vision One Platform, designed to offer a cloud-first strategy, AI capabilities, and a comprehensive end-to-end cybersecurity strategy, is now equipped to support the protection of the Australian public sector and critical infrastructure providers. Srujan Talakokkula, the Managing Director of Trend Micro in Australia and New Zealand, expressed his excitement about extending Trend Micro's expertise and solutions to this new market.

The Vision One Platform offers a robust attack surface risk management system, providing real-time awareness of the environment's risk and security posture through the Cybersecurity Risk score. This proactive defense approach results in earlier detection and faster incident response, ensuring a more secure environment.

Martyn Beal, Trend Micro's Federal Government Strategic Lead, emphasised the platform's ability to support customers' cloud journey to various environments. He also expressed his enthusiasm about the possibilities the Vision One Platform brings in contributing to a safe and secure Australian Government.

The Vision One Platform is amplified by powerful generative AI technology and provides Global Threat Intelligence. It also incorporates next-generation Extended Detection and Response (XDR) technology, offering cross-layer protection across hybrid environments.

Many Australian government agencies are embracing a 'cloud-first strategy' and are turning to AI capabilities and a comprehensive end-to-end cybersecurity strategy. With the successful completion of the IRAP assessment at the PROTECTED level, Australian Government agencies with the PROTECTED level requirement can now utilise the Trend Micro Vision One Platform, which offers Expert Managed Services.

In the third independent third-party engagement for the IRAP assessment of the Information Security Manual for the Vision One platform, Defence Security Solutions (DSS) was involved. This successful assessment further strengthens Trend Micro's commitment to providing secure and reliable cybersecurity solutions for its customers.
