UNFCCC Launches Resilience Frontiers Initiative for Climate-Resilient Futures
A collective brainstorming event took place in Songdo, South Korea, to kickstart the Resilience Frontiers initiative. This event, inspired by UNESCO's Futures Literacy Laboratory framework, brought together over 100 visionary thinkers and thought leaders. The aim? To create an Earth-positive future for younger generations, focusing on climate-resilient futures beyond 2030.
The initiative, led by the UNFCCC, is an interagency effort involving multiple UN organizations and other international bodies. It seeks to co-create a unique lens through which to view these resilient futures and pathways to achieve them. Among the participants was Susan Robertson, co-founder of the website and consultant for OnePoint5Media. She is also a member of the Resilience Frontiers Nexus group and the Chair of the APOPO Foundation UK board. OnePoint5Media, producers of the website, even co-created a special event brochure to mark this significant milestone.
The Resilience Frontiers initiative, with its ambitious goal of creating an Earth-positive future, took a significant step forward with this collective brainstorming event. With the input of over 100 visionary thinkers and the support of various international bodies, the future looks promising for achieving climate-resilient futures beyond 2030.
