Unveiling the Adventure: Presenting the LEGO 2-in-1 Set of The Legend of Zelda's Great Deku Tree
The LEGO Group has announced the release of the highly anticipated LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 Set. This set offers fans an immersive building experience, allowing them to construct and explore their favourite moments from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild games.
Standing approximately 13 inches tall for the Ocarina of Time version and 12 inches tall for the Breath of the Wild version, the set features a large, detailed model of the Great Deku Tree. The set is a brick-built recreation of the iconic tree from either game, offering meticulous details and references that fans will appreciate.
The set consists of 2,500 pieces and offers dual build modes, allowing you to construct the Great Deku Tree as seen in two iconic Zelda games. This provides a 2-in-1 display option, giving fans the opportunity to showcase both versions of the tree.
Interactive elements are a key feature of this set. The Breath of the Wild rendition allows the Great Deku Tree's face to be animated, while the Ocarina of Time version has a mechanism that opens the tree's mouth to reveal a Skulltula.
The set also includes exclusive minifigures and specialized pieces, such as the Ocarina of Time, Hylian Shield, and Master Sword, with a buildable Master Sword pedestal. Additionally, it features buildable characters and creatures like Hestu the Korok, several smaller Koroks, Deku Babas, Navi the Fairy, the Deku Sprout, and a Skulltula.
In the Breath of the Wild version, Princess Zelda and Link are dressed in blue, while in the Ocarina of Time rendition, both Young Link and Link are included. The set also includes iconic sceneries such as the Master Sword pedestal from Breath of the Wild and Link's House from Ocarina of Time.
For an even more immersive experience, the set can be enhanced with an optional light kit featuring 11 LED lights. This kit highlights features from both versions, offering an illuminated display without requiring prior electronics knowledge. It works via USB power (power bank or wall adapter not included).
The LEGO The Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 Set is a collaboration between the LEGO Group and Nintendo Co., Ltd. Eiji Aonuma, Producer of The Legend of Zelda series at Nintendo, expresses his excitement about the collaboration.
The set will be available for pre-order starting May 28, 2024, on LEGO.com/Zelda and LEGO Stores. It will be available for purchase from Sept. 1, 2024, and is priced at $299.99. The Great Deku Tree is the first element from The Legend of Zelda to be represented using LEGO bricks, making this set a significant addition to any Zelda fan's collection.
