Upcoming cohort in Cox Cleantech Accelerator focuses on streamlining energy infrastructure, bolstering industrial productivity, and strengthening general infrastructure.
The Cox Cleantech Accelerator, a partnership between Cox Enterprises, gener8tor, and the Georgia Cleantech Innovation Hub, has announced a new cohort of five high-potential startups. These innovative companies are set to drive sustainable innovation, increase industrial efficiency, and enhance infrastructure resilience in the Southeastern U.S.
Cox Enterprises, a leader in the broadband, automotive, and media industries, as well as a leading investment platform in emerging technologies, is committed to empowering people to build a better future for the next generation. The company, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has annual revenues of $23 billion.
The new cohort includes:
- FNN: This startup uses AI-powered lightning detection to transform utility and wildlife response by pinpointing damage and ignitions in real time. This technology could revolutionise the response to storms and wildfires, making communities safer and more resilient.
- Uptime Analytics: This company provides AI-driven applications that optimise energy use, reduce emissions, and improve industrial asset performance. By making industries more efficient, Uptime Analytics could play a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions and preserving our planet for future generations.
- Prezerv: This startup maps underground utilities using AI to prevent costly delays and safety risks during urban construction. By making construction projects safer and more efficient, Prezerv could help cities grow while minimising disruptions and risks.
- Stak Mobility: This company develops automated vertical parking towers integrating electric vehicle charging and mobile self-service to reclaim urban space. By making parking more efficient and electric vehicles more accessible, Stak Mobility could help cities become cleaner and more sustainable.
- WhyGrene: This startup, while light on details, is included among the five selected startups. More information about WhyGrene's focus will be revealed as the program progresses.
Each startup in the accelerator receives a $100,000 investment, mentorship from Cox business leaders, and hands-on support in product development, customer acquisition, and fundraising. The program, a twice-yearly event focused on commercial success and helping companies with new product-market fit tap into their first large-scale customers, also engages with founders who reflect the diverse communities impacted by climate change.
The Georgia Cleantech Innovation Hub is a public-private-academic partnership aiming to make innovation a driver of a robust, inclusive cleantech economy. The Hub's goal is to make Georgia a leader in cleantech innovation and tomorrow's growth industries.
