Updated Version of GRI Standards Training Course Now Available for ESG Reporting Certification Globally

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Professional Certification Program, offered by the Center for Sustainability & Excellence (CSE), is a comprehensive training and certification pathway designed to equip professionals with the skills needed to report effectively on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) matters using the GRI Standards.

This program, which includes courses licensed to Certified Training Partners (CTPs), offers participants the opportunity to master the application of the GRI Standards for enhanced transparency in ESG reporting. It comprises multiple course modules and pathways (Route A and Route B) that cover fundamental and advanced topics, aiming to improve reporting quality and global adoption.

One of the specialized training courses under the GRI Professional Certification umbrella is the "Unlocking the ESRS for GRI Reporters" mini-course. This course is specifically designed to help current GRI reporters align their sustainability disclosures with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) framework, facilitating integrated and compliant sustainability reporting across global and European standards.

The mini-course offers an extra certification from GRI and provides insights into the structure of the CSRD and the ESRS, explaining how to leverage the GRI process for ESRS reporting, comparing ESRS and GRI disclosures, and offering guidance on publishing ESRS reports. It also teaches communication with the investor's community and helps participants develop high-quality report content that aligns with various reporting frameworks.

In addition to the training, the CSE offers a publishing service called EB Publishing. This platform helps distribute news, events, jobs, and thought leadership, ensuring that content can reach a targeted audience. By using EB Publishing, professionals can effectively communicate their sustainability reports to the relevant stakeholders, thereby improving stakeholder engagement.

In a world where multi-standard environments are becoming increasingly common, the GRI Professional Certification Program and its mini-courses, such as "Unlocking the ESRS for GRI Reporters," provide sustainability professionals with the skills they need to navigate these complexities and meet stakeholder expectations on ESG transparency.
