Urwerk Launches UR-150 Scorpion: A Traditional Take on Luxury Watchmaking
Swiss luxury watchmaker Urwerk has launched the UR-150 Scorpion, a new model with a more traditional design compared to the brand's usual outlandish creations. The watch is available for purchase on Urwerk's website.
The UR-150 Scorpion boasts a round case and dial, with a diameter of 42.49mm and a thickness of 14.79mm, offering improved ergonomics. It features a domed sapphire crystal and a unique minute and hour display system. The watch is crafted with a titanium and stainless steel case, with the Dark variant showcasing PVD-treated steel and a black dial.
Powering the Scorpion is the UR-50.01 automatic movement, equipped with a 43-hour power reserve and a redesigned satellite complication. This timepiece is a limited edition, with just 50 pieces available for each variant - Titan and Dark - priced at CHF 88,000 and CHF 89,000 respectively.
The UR-150 Scorpion marks a departure from Urwerk's usual avant-garde designs, offering a more traditional yet still innovative timepiece. With its unique display system, robust movement, and limited availability, this watch is sure to appeal to both Urwerk enthusiasts and collectors seeking a more classical aesthetic.
