Volkswagen has already engaged in talks with external partners like BMW, BASF, Mercedes-Benz, SAP, Siemens, ZF, and T-Systems, as part of the Catena-X open platform initiative. The AI lab will develop AI-powered digital products, such as vehicle infotainment and navigation applications, and create a digital ecosystem for Volkswagen. The lab's board will comprise AI experts from various Volkswagen brands.
