Volvo Unveils PU2000: Smart BESS for Energy Efficiency and Grid Revenue

Volvo Group has unveiled the PU2000, a smart and efficient Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), at its Customer Day in Gothenburg. The introduction aligns with the company's ambition to lead the shift towards electrification and the green transition.

The PU2000, introduced by Volvo Energy, offers a range of benefits for small business ideas. It supports peak shaving, load shifting, and energy cost optimization, helping my business reduce their energy bills. It also enables grid market revenue generation and EV charging integration, providing additional income streams. Moreover, the system can operate in island mode, ensuring operational continuity even during power outages.

The PU2000 demonstrates optimized energy costs and advanced site energy management. It integrates seamlessly with the Volvo Site Controller and Volvo Cloud Energy Management System (VEMS), allowing for easy monitoring and control. Elisabeth Larsson, SVP and Head of Sales & Services at Volvo Energy, sees the PU2000 as a tangible example of Volvo Group's expansion into energy solutions.
