This data reflects the recent monthly sales performance and aligns with broader trends of Tesla's dominance in the European EV market by sales volume. The popularity of models such as the Renault 5 / Alpine A290 and BYD Seal U highlights growing acceptance of diverse EV options beyond the traditional premium segment [1].

Europe's BEV market experienced a 14.7% growth in June 2025, marking its 10th consecutive month of sales growth. A total of 240,379 all-electric vehicles took to Europe's roads in June, a gain of 30,818 units compared to 12 months ago [1].

In the PHEV segment, volumes rose by 21.7% to 594,806 units in the first half of 2025. Notably, the VW Tiguan took the top spot in Europe's year-to-date PHEV table with 29,182 sales, just 89 units ahead of the Volvo XC60 [1].

The VW ID.4 and VW ID.7 recorded their lowest finishing positions of the year. The former's share dropped from 3.4% to 2.7%, while the latter saw a 317.1% increase in sales to 5,718 deliveries [1].

The Skoda Elroq dropped two positions from the previous month in Europe's BEV market, with 37,792 sales in the first six months of 2025. The BMW iX1 secured its highest finish of the year with 6,562 units, its largest monthly total since December 2023. However, the BMW iX1's market share tightened from 2.5% to 2.7% [1].

The Ford Kuga's hopes of a full-year win have faded, posting 22,876 sales from January to June. The BYD Seal U is closing in on the PHEV market leader, with only 2,000 units separating it from the top spot [1].

Germany saw the greatest volume of BEV and PHEV sales in Europe across the first six months of 2025 [1]. The Tesla Model Y was the best-selling EV model in Europe in the first half of 2025, with 69,223 deliveries [1]. The Volkswagen ID.4 dropped to third in Europe's BEV market in the first six months of 2025, with 39,881 sales [1].
