In the week of July 21-27, 2025, China's electric vehicle market saw a notable shift. Major players in the industry, including Nio, Tesla, and BYD, experienced an increase in weekly registrations compared to the previous week, aligning with a typical rise in deliveries toward month-end.

Nio Inc registered 5,000 vehicles for insurance last week, marking a 2.04 percent increase from 4,900 the previous week. However, Nio's sub-brands Onvo and Firefly saw a decline in registrations, with Onvo registering 1,510 vehicles, down 12.21 percent from 1,720 the previous week, and Firefly registering 230 vehicles, down 66.18 percent from 680 vehicles the previous week. On June 26, Xiaomi officially launched the YU7, its first electric SUV. The YU7 received 200,000 firm orders within the first three minutes of going on sale and over 240,000 locked-in orders within 18 hours.

BYD sold 382,585 new energy vehicles (NEVs) in June, marking the highest monthly sales figure so far this year.

Leapmotor delivered 48,006 vehicles in June, marking the second consecutive month of record-high deliveries.

Aito, a brand jointly developed by Huawei and Seres Group, registered 10,520 vehicles last week.
